Neymar’s PSG absence will cost star £337k in ‘good behaviour bonus’ after missing start of pre-season as he pushes for Barcelona transfer

NEYMAR'S absence from Paris Saint-Germain's pre-season meet-up will cost him around £337,000 in "good behaviour" bonuses.

The 27-year-old world record transfer failed to show up at PSG's camp and the club issued a statement slamming his actions.

But the fine shouldn't bother him too much - as he picks up a reported £900,000 a WEEK in the French capital.

His dad, Neymar Sr, claimed the club already knew he would not be able to make it back until July 16 because of sponsorship commitments.

He also missed the Copa America — which Brazil won — as he was injured in a pre-tournament friendly.

But the £195million man was expected to return and club sporting director Leonardo said they were "not dates agreed with the club."

According to , that has landed him with a £337,000 fine, over a third of a million pounds.

World Cup winner Leonardo added: "Neymar can leave PSG, if there is an offer that suits everyone."

PSG have reportedly set a lower asking price of £135m for the man they paid £60m MORE for two years ago.

Neymar is thought to have his heart set on a move back to Barcelona, where he won the Champions League in 2015.

Good behaviour bonuses are part of almost all French players' contracts and they can be taken away for bad behaviour.

Part of the reason for this is that clubs cannot legally fine players for being late for training or picking up yellow cards.

Now Neymar faces the prospect of returning to the French capital with his tail between his legs after an underwhelming first two seasons at the club.

He has been overtaken in the player prestige stakes by young superstar Kylian Mbappe, who has shone for PSG this year and won the World Cup last year.
