Liverpool set to seal transfer for youngest ever Premier League player Harvey Elliott after he rejects Fulham scholarship

RECORD-BREAKING Fulham youngster Harvey Elliott is set to sign for Liverpool after rejecting the Cottagers’ scholarship offer.

Elliott made his debut last season for Scott Parker’s side at the age of 16 years and 30 days, becoming the youngest Premier League player in history.

And according to the , he has picked Liverpool over the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig.

He cannot turn professional until his 17th birthday, meaning that he will have to join the Reds as a scholar, before being offered a three-year deal as of April 4 next year.

Elliott also played for Queens Park Rangers as a youngster but made his name at Fulham when he played against Wolves in the top flight clash in May.

He had actually made his debut for Slavisa Jokanovic at the age of 15 years, 174 days in an EFL Cup win over Millwall.

COULD BE AN ELL OF A PLAYER

The attacking midfielder is seen as one of the most promising youngsters in English football and has made six appearances for the England Under 17s.

Elliott broke the record set by fellow Cottager Matthew Briggs back in 2007.

Aaron Lennon is also in the top five youngest debutants in Premier League history, after the flying winger made his first start for Leeds in 2003.

Fulham have received a boost though as striker Aleksander Mitrovic has signed a new deal at the West London club.

The Serb had been linked with moves to China, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Real Betis but was happy to agree new terms after scoring 11 Premier League goals last term.
