Poole Town boss moans about losing player to Love Island with Marvin Brooks set to enter Casa Amor
POOLE TOWN boss Tom Killick has voiced his frustration after his star midfielder Marvin Brooks ditched pre-season training to go on Love Island.
The 29-year-old - who currently plies his trade at the South League Premier Division South - will enter Casa Amor as he looks to become part of the main villa.
Brooks - who has scored 86 goals in more than 300 games during his career - works as a personal trainer on the side, while he is also an ex-royal navy officer.
The playmaker has also turned out for Salisbury FC, while he has trained with National League outfit Sutton United.
Speaking of his player, Killick jokingly tweeted: "Pre season training starts next week and my attacking midfielder has disappeared on to love island!!"
In an interview with , he added: "I'm told he goes into a seperate villa and needs to be picked to go on the main show.
"I hope it's all inclusive on there because he'll never buy a drink."
Love Island fans will get a first glance of Brooks on tonight's show, where he will look to couple up with a girl to keep him in with a chance to win the £50,000 prize.
In a statement, Poole quipped: "Best of luck Marvin. Hopefully you're back soon but if you go on to win the £50,000 prize, don't be hesitant to upgrade the stadium!"

Brooks has revealed he already has his eyes set on blonde beauty Lucie Donlan as well as Anna Vakili.
Asked who he has his eye on, he said: "It’s changed a few times because of how people have reacted to things. My type I’ve always said is brunette.
"Anna has definitely caught my eye but then recently Lucie has as I feel like she’s very similar to me in the sense that if she doesn’t want to hang around with a group she won’t force herself to do, which I’ve admired.”
