WAYNE ROONEY has told Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka to "embrace" Manchester United's culture following his £50million move from Crystal Palace.

The England right-back is expected to complete his Old Trafford switch tomorrow, penning a six-year deal worth £80,000 a week.

Wan-Bissaka, 21, is set to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's second signing of the summer following United's £15m deal for Swansea star Dan James.

The Palace starlet flew from Biggin Hill to Manchester yesterday for his medical, with the switch set to be made official within the next 24 hours.

Red Devils icon Rooney, 33, himself began his Old Trafford career at the age of 18, and went on to make 559 appearances in 13 years for the Manchester side.

And, drawing on his own experience, he has urged the England right-back to enjoy, rather than fear, playing for "one of the best clubs in the world".

Rooney told Wan-Bissaka on Sky Sports: "Enjoy it. Play with no fear.

"Manchester United’s a fantastic club. One of, if not the best football club in the world.

"You have to embrace it, embrace the culture of United.

"Learn the history and do your best. I’m sure he’ll be fine. The coaches there will be telling him all of this."

Rooney offered Wan-Bissaka his advice shortly after showing a glimpse of his greatness from his Old Trafford times in DC United's 1-0 victory over Orlando City.

The Red Devils legend scored the game winner in an incredible fashion, lobbing keeper Brian Rowe despite being 10 yards inside his own half.

The former England skipper has already bagged 11 goals in 19 games for DC this season.
