Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos star in bizarre rap video unveiling of Real Madrid’s new away kit without outcast Bale
GARETH BALE was left out of Real Madrid’s showcase of the club’s new away kit, centred on a bizarre rap video.
The over-the-top unveiling featured several Los Blancos stars looking serious during a hip hop track by Denom, Anita Kuruba and Ikki.
Produced by adidas, the dark blue kit features the Real and Club World Cup champions badges as well as the manufacturer and Fly Emirates sponsor logos in gold.
While Bale didn’t appear in the rap video, perhaps because he couldn’t understand the Spanish lyrics, he posted his own Instagram clip donning the shirt.
Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos are joined by the likes of Isco, Vinicius Junior and Marcelo in the video, which Madrid captioned: “Let the world know we’re ready.”
Los Blancos also claim the design to be inspired by the atmosphere at the Bernabeu.
The pressure is on the La Liga giants after splashing almost £300million so far on new signings, including Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic.
Zinedine Zidane’s arrival halfway through last season did little to reverse their fortunes as Real flopped in La Liga and the Champions League.
Bale’s role in his coach’s plans appeared to be minimal when the campaign came to a close but the winger is reportedly happy to stay in Spain.
Even if Zidane wants rid of the Welshman, finding a buyer who can pay his £508,000-a-week salary will prove incredibly tough.
Some Tottenham fans still dream of a return to North London, one commenting on the Instagram reveal: “That’s a funny looking Spurs shirt.”
Another joked: “Bale got a new golf shirt.”
