ATLETICO MADRID have launched a stunning £113million bid for Benfica whizkid Joao Felix.
The La Liga outfit are yet to make an announcement on the move, but it is believed that it is only a matter of time before the 19-year-old completes his switch.
Felix - who has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo - has a £108m release clause but Atletico are offering more as they want to pay in instalments rather than all up front.
Manchester United were understood to be desperate to bring him to Old Trafford as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to reshuffle his squad.
And their rivals Manchester City were also believed to be keen on his services, with the club prepared to offer him a £100k-a-week, five-year deal.
But is it Atletico that jumped ahead of the two Premier League giants after identifying the youngster as the perfect replacement for Antoine Griezmann.
The World Cup winner is expected to link up with Barcelona for £107m when his release clause kicks in on July 1.
