Everton ace Sigurdsson marries stunning Miss Iceland winner Alexandra in picturesque ceremony by Lake Como
GYLFI SIGURDSSON has married Alexandra Ivarsdottir in a stunning Lake Como ceremony.
After taking their vows and walking down the aisle, the pair posted snaps of the happy day on Instagram.
Ivarsdottir, 30, shot to fame over a decade ago when named Miss Iceland before going on to claim the Miss World Sports title.
Like her new hubbie, the model showed off her athleticism in the decathlon event that included running, canoeing and a football shooting challenge.
Together with Everton ace Sigurdsson, 29, the couple have become known as Iceland's answer to Posh 'n Becks.
Both have enjoyed success abroad, the footballer most notably with Swansea and Everton after coming through Reading's academy.
And Ivarsdottir with 15th place from a field of 109 candidates for the 2008 Miss World pageant.
Plenty of famous friends celebrated their nuptials after the ceremony at Villa Balbiano in Italy's northern lakes.

Evertonian boxer Tony Bellow commented on Instagram: "Congrats mate! Ya’s look great together."
A variety of players, past and present from Sigurdsson's career, wished them well.
"Congrats bro," posted Wilfried Bony, all in caps.
Jermaine Jenas exclaimed: "Looking a million lad!"
