Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp thrashes Pep Guardiola in world’s best boss poll of Bundesliga stars

JURGEN KLOPP has beaten Pep Guardiola to be named the world's best manager in a poll of 250 Bundesliga players.
The 51-year-old won his first trophy in charge of Liverpool earlier this month after guiding his side to Champions League glory.
The Reds only lost once in the Premier League - to eventual champions Manchester City - with the Citizens making history after becoming the first English side to win the domestic Treble.
But it is the ex-Borussia Dortmund gaffer who has been named as the best boss ahead of Guardiola, German magazine .
As part of the survey, 250 anonymous Bundesliga stars were quizzed on a host of topics, from the best league to who they believe is the world's best player.
KLOPP ON TOP
The Liverpool manager scooped a whopping 66 per cent of the vote, while Guardiola only picked up 18.4 per cent despite winning three major trophies.
Ajax boss Erik ten Hag earned 3.6 per cent after the Dutch side reached the Champions League semi-finals by beating Real Madrid and Juventus in the knockout rounds.
Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino netted 3.2 per cent after guiding Spurs into fourth spot in the table as well as reaching the final of the Champions League.
NO MESS-ING ABOUT
Barcelona star Lionel Messi pipped Cristiano Ronaldo to be named as the world's best player - picking up 68.8 per cent of the vote.
The Argentinian ace, 31, banged in an incredible 51 goals in 50 games as he won his tenth La Liga title with the Blaugrana.
Ronaldo - who chipped in with 28 goals in 43 games in his debut season with Juventus - earned 12.4 per cent, with Egyptian international Mohamed Salah pocketing 4.8 per cent of the survey.
Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe - who has reportedly handed in a transfer request - picked up 4.4 per cent after being crowned Ligue 1 Player of the Year.
ALL EYES ON PREM
After another pulsating campaign, Bundesliga players named the Premier League as the best division in world football with 88.8 per cent.
The German top-flight as well as La Liga both received 5.6 per cent.
SAN THE MAN
Manchester United target Jadon Sancho was named as the Bundesliga's best breakthrough star after registering 13 goals and 19 assists in 43 games for BVB.
MOST READ IN FOOTBALL
Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz came second, followed by striker Luka Jovic - who recently secured a big money move to Real Madrid.
OTHER RESULTS
Havertz was deemed to have been the best Bundesliga outfield player of the season, with Eintracht Frankfurt boss Adi Hutter named as the best manager of the campaign.
Ex-Tranmere Rovers loanee Peter Gulasci picked up the goalkeeper of the year gong, while Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng was voted the player most on the decline.
