CRISTIANO RONALDO had his Nations League trophy lift moment get overshadowed - as his Portugal team-mates fell off the podium.
The Portugal skipper, 34, was primed and ready to celebrate his side's narrow win over Holland in the final, only for his pals to slip just behind him.
At least three players can be seen fighting to keep their balance as a blissfully unaware Ronaldo lifts the trophy.
Beto, Jose Fonte, Goncalo Guedes all lost their footing and fell on Bruno Fernandes just as the Juventus star threw the trophy in the air.
Guedes scored the goal that saw hosts Portugal beat Holland, while Ronaldo tussled with Virgil van Dijk for 90 minutes.
The former Real Madrid ace became the latest superstar to fail to dribble past Van Dijk - who'd already got the better of Lionel Messi, Eden Hazard and Kylian Mbappe in 2018-19.
BUSY NIGHT
After the game, Ronaldo urged Ajax sensation Matthijs de Ligt to snub a move to Manchester United and join him at Juventus.
Ronaldo was seen having a word with the £60million-rated young Holland centre-back following the 1-0 win.
A grinning Ron then rubbed De Ligt's hair and walked off to celebrate with his team-mates.
Ronaldo could also be seen sulking as team-mate and Manchester City star Bernardo Silva was awarded the Nations League Player of the Tournament award.

Silva's name was read out over the speakers at the Dragao stadium in Porto, Portugal, and he is immediately congratulated by team-mates.
But Ronaldo simply turns to his fellow countryman, shakes his head, appears to mutter something and then turns away, without showing any signs of congratulation.
