CRISTIANO RONALDO stopped the Portugal team bus when he saw an ill child holding a poster asking him if he could have a hug.
The Portugal captain invited young fan Eduardo Moreira, who has leukemia, onto the bus for photos in a heartwarming gesture.
The host team were in transit as they build up to today's Nations League final against Holland at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto.
The youngster was holding up a sign asking for an 'abraco' with his hero Ronaldo, which is Portuguese for a hug.
The team bus was then halted and the Juventus star took the excited youngster on board where he posed with Ronaldo for a photo.
Eduardo, who says he is Ronaldo's biggest fan, has been battling the illness for ten years but can cherish the memory of his time with his hero.
The squad had held a light training session at the Estadio do Bessa in Porto and were on their way back to the team hotel when the impromptu stop happened.
Ronaldo has previously given £5million to survivors of an earthquake in Nepal in 2015.
