Man Utd ‘make £84m offer to Napoli’ for Kalidou Koulibaly in bid to beat PSG and Juventus in transfer race for defender
MANCHESTER UNITED have allegedly made an £84million offer for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Red Devils have made the Senegal international their No.1 target as they look like missing out on Ajax’s Matthijs de Ligt.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been linked with a move for the centre-half for months as he looks to transform his under-performing squad at Old Trafford.
And now he and United appear to be stepping up their summer recruitment drive by tabling a first bid for the star, claim .
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is determined to get as much as possible for the ex-Genk man.
And he has gone on record to state he wants at least £89m before he even considers allowing the 27-year-old to leave.
Koulibaly has a £133m release clause inserted into his contract that will become active next year.
But he could be on his way over the coming weeks as interest in him hots-up.
Big-spending Paris Saint-Germain are keen on bringing the former Metz ace back to France.
And it emerged this week that Napoli’s rivals Juventus want to add him to their Serie A-winning squad.
