MAURIZIO SARRI looks set to 'leave Chelsea with their blessing' in the next few days and complete his switch to Juventus.
According to , the manager and the club have come to a mutual agreement that will see Sarri depart after just 11 months at Stamford Bridge.
Sarri was happy to see out the final year of his deal with more public backing next term.
But it is understood a meeting took place on Friday and the decision was made.
It means Juventus are likely to be able to confirm Sarri as their new boss, potentially this week, after talks over the weekend.
Massimiliano Allegri left the club at the end of the season after winning five Serie A titles in a row.
The Old Lady will pay the Blues £5million in compensation to cover the final year of his deal.
Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino were both on Juve's radar but were unable to be lured away from the Premier League.
Italian Sarri, though, seems keen to a return to his homeland just a year after leaving Napoli.
FINE FIRST YEAR
And although he was on the brink of the boot from Roman Abramovich in February, a 2-0 win over Spurs helped keep him in his job.
That victory helped spark a return to form which culminated in a third-placed finish in the Premier League, a return to the Champions League and the Europa League trophy, Sarri's first major title.
Chelsea also reached the Carabao Cup final but lost on penalties to Manchester City.
Sarri's imminent departure looks to be far more civil than that of his compatriot and predecessor Antonio Conte.
After a lengthy process, a Premier League tribunal ordered the club to pay Conte £9m in compensation.
And with Sarri off, Chelsea of course will need to find a replacement as soon as possible to give them a full pre-season to work with the squad.
Frank Lampard almost earned promotion for Derby in his first season as a manager and the club legend remains the favourite with the bookmakers to become the next boss.
