Wenger wears Arsenal trackie bottoms as he walks through hotel full of Spurs fans before Champions League final
ARSENE WENGER made it no secret as to who he was supporting tonight... after wondering around a hotel full of Tottenham fans with Arsenal trousers on.
The Frenchman managed Spurs' bitter North London rivals for 22 years before leaving the Emirates last summer.
Wenger, 69, is in Madrid for the Champions League final as a pundit for BeIN Sports.
And while enjoying his downtime before the big kick-off, he appeared to be making new friends in the hotel restaurant.
One fan tweeted: "Watching Arsene Wenger walking around a hotel full of Tottenham fans, in a pair of Arsenal trackies might be one of the greatest sights I've ever witnessed."
The supporter then revealed a picture of him with a plate in hand with the caption: "Badge is on the other side but this is the only photo I can find."
Fans lapped it up on social media with one relating it Lasagne-gate in 2006 - the food poisoning controversy that infamously cost Spurs a place in the Champions League on the final day of the season.
Arsenal would then qualify for the tournament at Tottenham's expense.
One person commented: "Just been down to the kitchen to do the lasagne."
Another added: "Everybody is a gangster until the real gangster enters."
Wenger faces another old rival this evening when he reunites with Jose Mourinho to provide expert analysis on the Champions League final.
The two men share a bitter past when they competed against each other in the Premier League, with the Special One once labelling the ex-Arsenal boss a "voyeur".
