Premier League transfers: All the done deals as Arsenal sign David Luiz and Pepe and Man Utd break record with Maguire arrival

AFTER another incredible summer, the transfer window is CLOSED - with Premier League clubs splashing an astonishing £1.4billion this summer.

Yet, it was not enough to make it the biggest of all time following 2017's £1.43bn, despite Arsenal and Manchester United smashing their transfer records.

Catch up on all of this summer's transfers, including Lukaku and Tierney

The Gunners spent £72m on Lille winger Pepe as part of a brilliant window for the Gunners that also saw David Luiz and Kieran Tierney arrive - despite them reportedly only having £45m to start with.

Manchester United immediately brought in the young duo Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James, before making £85million Harry Maguire the most expensive defender ever.

But they look short in attack after selling Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan for £73m.

The Premier League spending record may have been broken had Chelsea not been hit with a transfer ban, although they still welcome Christian Pulisic following the completion of his deal in January.

Manchester City broke their own transfer record with the £63m arrival of Rodri, while Liverpool were quiet in the window with just two youngsters and a freebie goalkeeper joining the European champions' ranks.
