Charlton hero Jonny Williams could have played final game with Swansea keen on transfer
Swans, Brentford and Luton all want to snap up the ex-Crystal Palace midfielder
CHARLTON face a fight to keep play-off hero Jonny Williams.
The Wales ace, 25, is out of contract in the summer after a successful six-month stint at the Valley which ended in promotion back to the Championship.
Swansea, Brentford and Luton all want to snap up Williams.
The midfielder played a key role off the bench in Charlton’s 2-1 League One play-off final triumph over Sunderland at Wembley on Sunday.
But that could be Williams’ last game for Lee Bowyer’s Addicks as clubs circle for the in-demand ex-Crystal Palace midfielder.
Williams told SunSport exclusively on Sunday he would not rule out staying at Charlton.
But the pint-sized attacker plans to assess his options in the summer before deciding on the next chapter.
Williams made 18 appearances for Charlton after his release from Palace in January.
Injuries have halted a promising career but Williams’ performance in the comeback victory at Wembley showed his quality.
Now he will be aiming to get back in the Wales squad under Ryan Giggs.
