MATTHIJS DE LIGT has claimed his future is still undecided - but claimed it's not just a straight choice between the Premier League and La Liga.

The sought-after Ajax defender, 19, is on the radar of Manchester United and Barcelona as well as a host of other European giants.

Now De Ligt has revealed he is not narrowing down his options to just England and Spain ahead of his impending move.

De Ligt told ESPN: "Where do I see myself? Well, the Premier League is a big competition, Spain also...

"But you have other competitions, it's not [just] about those two. I still don't know anything about where my future is, so I'll see how it goes."

De Ligt went on to say he will not make a decision until after the Nations League - with his Holland in the mix along with England, Portugal and Switzerland.

UNITED OUT OF THE RACE

The Dutch star added: "First we have to play two games and then after that I will see what happens next."

Barcelona are still thought to be the favourites to land De Ligt this summer.

Man Utd had been in the mix, but earlier on Sunday reports claimed the Old Trafford giants have ruled out a move for the Holland international.

Premier League title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City have also been linked with a summer swoop for De Ligt.

United fans had thought they'd been in the mix, after being given hope De Ligt himself wanted to head to Old Trafford.

The £65m-rated star claimed he wanted to be the "poster boy" for the club's rebuild, according to the Telegraph.

And fans were thrilled further after he was seen to like an Instagram post from former United legend Rio Ferdinand.
