Leicester shock favourites to sign Arjen Robben aged 35 after he leaves Bayern Munich
He has been heavily backed with a shock move back to the Premier League
LEICESTER have emerged as shock favourites to land Holland veteran Arjen Robben, according to reports.
The 35-year-old has ended his 10-year stay at Bayern Munich on the back of winning his seventh Bundesliga title this season.
Robben is expected to mull over offers across Europe while he could see out his playing days in China or the MLS.
And it appears there is a good chance he could be back in the Premier League.
Robben, who spent three years at Chelsea until 2007, has been heavily backed to join Brendan Rodgers' Leicester.
A flurry of bets mean his odds to join the King Power have been dropped to 2/1, according to Oddschecker.
Leicester fans will have every reason to be excited following his hugely illustrious career.
He has won 12 league titles across four clubs, one Champions League trophy and seven domestic cups.
But they are braced to face competition with a return to Holland a big possibility.
He has been linked with a move to PSV Eindhoven while a huge last payday to China is also on the cards.
When quizzed whether he has any retirement plans, Robben has yet to rule it out.
He told the BBC: "It is an option, but I don't know whether it will happen.
"It is not an easy decision to make. If you decide that you are going to keep playing, you have to find a place where everything is just right, not just in terms of football but also for my family."
