Arsenal star Granit Xhaka reveals delight at wife expecting their first child
Swiss midfielder posted on Instagram with his hands on his wife Leonita Lekaj's bump
ARSENAL star Granit Xhaka has announced him and his wife Leonita Lekaj are expecting their first child.
The Swiss midfielder uploaded a photo on to his Instagram showing the happy couple cradling Leonite's bump.
He captioned it: "Mommy & Daddy waiting for you."
It's certainly proved a popular announcement with almost 180,000 people "liking" the photo and over 2,250 people commenting.
Leonita, 26, has been with Granit since meeting him during his time at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Like Granit, the stunning brunette comes from a Kosovo-Albanian family and worked at the German club - although it's not known in what capacity she was working.
MARRIED IN 2017
The couple were engaged in June 2016 after two years together and tied the knot at a ceremony in July 2017.
It's not clear where the lavish day took place but Xhaka, 26, certainly caught the eye in an electric blue suit.
Leonita is said to have spent her early life in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, before her family moved to the Ruhr, Germany.

The brunette moved to London with Granit, who grew up in Switzerland, when he joined Arsenal for £30million in 2016.
The news comes at a busy time for Xhaka as he prepares for Arsenal's Europa League final against Chelsea.
The two Premier League teams will play each other in Baku on May 29.
