Spurs midfielder Moussa Sissoko gives cryptic answer when asked about his future
France star says 'anything can happen in football very quickly' - including a new manager for the Champions League finalists
TOTTENHAM midfielder Moussa Sissoko claims "anything" could happen to his career this summer.
The France star even suggests Spurs could start a "new project" without Mauricio Pochettino - despite reaching next month's Champions League final against Liverpool.
Sissoko, 29, told French TV station Canal Football club: "Today I feel good over there. This year everything is going well for me.
"I am still under contract with them so all is good. But as he [Spurs right-back Serge Aurier] said, and you know it better than me, anything can happen in football very quickly."
Pochettino, previously linked with Manchester United, has hinted he could quit management if Tottenham beat Jurgen Klopp's Premier League runners-up in the Euro final at Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano stadium on June 1.
And asked if his future was linked to Pochettino remaining in charge, Sissoko said: "Not necessarily. I don’t know.
"At the end of the season, it could be that they have a new project, that a new coach comes, and he doesn’t count on me - he wants to sell me.
"Many different things could happen."
The former Newcastle hero insists he hopes to stay but has learnt never to take anything in football for granted.
He added: "For the moment I feel good there, I am happy there. And in my head I have no thoughts of leaving."
Sissoko battled back from a groin injury to shine as Tottenham landed a remarkable last-gasp 3-2 win in Ajax to reach the Champions League final on away goals.
And now England captain Harry Kane is the main doubt with his ankle problem for the cash with Liverpool.
