OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has been trolled for "finally getting Cardiff playing well".
The Bluebirds finished rock-bottom in 2014 with just 30 points under Solskjaer and he was sacked at the start of the following season.
The Manchester United boss yesterday lost 2-0 to his former club, sparking calls for his head from some furious fans.
But others joked he has simply got the wrong team performing.
Twitter user Cam posted: "It took 5 years but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has finally got Cardiff playing well."
The tweet has since gone viral with about 50,000 'likes' and 12,000 retweets.
Others joined in on the joke, with one tweeting: "What a wonderful job Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done for Cardiff over the past few years."
Cardiff fans sang "you're just a s*** Neil Warnock" at their old gaffer at Old Trafford yesterday.
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing scored twice as United finished the season with a whimper to the already-relegated Bluebirds.
The humiliating defeat saw a raging Solskjaer, 46, scrap United's end-of-season team debriefing.
The Norwegian told his players to start their summer immediately despite having planned a meeting for players this morning to assess the season and say farewell to departing team-mates.
Players are not officially required to return to Carrington until early July.
Solskjaer, who finished the season sixth and 32 points behind champions Manchester City, said: "The last couple of months have been extremely hard for the team, the club and for the players."
He added: "More or less the only positive from today is that the season is over. We meet again on 1 July and we will work back to where we belong.

"To reach the leaders it will take a long time. For ourselves, the short-term focus in the league will be getting into the top four.
"We have got the Europa League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup to go for a trophy because Manchester United can't go many years without winning a trophy. Jose [Mourinho] won the Europa League last and that is a realistic ambition.
"In the league, the points we are behind the top two, they have been excellent, those two. Absolutely exceptional. And we are five or six points behind Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea. They are the ones we have to make sure we catch up and don't let anyone closer to us."
