Suarez scores just 2/10 and Coutinho 3/10 as L’Equipe ratings maul Barcelona over Liverpool comeback
Barca stars have suffered a pasting for their performances after they were dumped out of Europe by collapsing at Anfield
BARCELONA stars have been given a mauling for their performances in the Champions League defeat to Liverpool - with the international press slating the Catalan flops.
Jurgen Klopp's side turned around a three-goal deficit to seal a 4-0 win which saw the Reds book a place in the final in Madrid.
French newspaper L'Equipe has rated the displays of all the players on show at Anfield and they do not make pretty viewing for the Barca players.
Former Liverpool hero Luis Suarez had become public enemy number one having celebrated when he scored the opening goal in the 3-0 win in the first leg.
But he spent much of his time toiling in frustration last night and was marked just 2/10 by the sports paper in France.
Another ex-Kop favourite was also involved in the shape of Philippe Coutinho, and he hardly did much better with a 3/10 rating.
Ter Stegen, Arturo Vidal, Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi all collected a one-star rating.
Suarez scored three according to them, with Vidal hailed as being one of the only players to display the fight needed on the night on his way to a score of five.
