Frank Lampard pulls his own pint as Derby boss celebrates clinching final play-off spot down the pub

FRANK LAMPARD demonstrated yet another talent after securing Derby County's place in the Championship play-offs - this time, behind the bar.

A celebratory dinner with family and friends involved the former midfielder pulling his own pint hours after his first major achievement in management.

Sunday's 3-1 win over West Brom confirmed Derby's sixth-place finish and match-up with Leeds United in the play-offs.

It was followed by a quiet trip to Armando’s Italian Restaurant at The Talbot Hotel, just north of the city.

Lampard's TV presenter wife Christine was among those dining, as was Derby assistant manager Jody Morris.

And the ex-Chelsea midfielder snapped his boss pulling a pint behind the bar, uploading the moment to Instagram.

In his first season in management, Lampard has overseen a young Derby side finishing inside the top-six for the third time in four years.

Sunday's victory over West Brom was a nervy affair that denied Middlesbrough and Bristol City a play-off berth on the final day.

It set up a mouthwatering tie with Leeds, the two clubs famously involved in February's Spygate scandal that saw the Whites fined £200,000.

The Rams host the first leg this Saturday, kick-off at 5.15pm, and travel to Yorkshire for the return game the following Wednesday night.
