Gary Cahill says it’s ‘very hard to respect’ Maurizio Sarri and his last Chelsea memory will be the FA Cup final
The 33-year-old - who is a free agent in the summer - hasn't played for the Blues since the 4-0 win against PAOK in November
GARY CAHILL has blasted Chelsea boss Maurizo Sarri as he insists it's hard to respect him having been frozen out of the side with no explanation.
The Blues defender has endured a frustrating season in his last year at Stamford Bridge before he leaves the club when his contract expires in the summer.
Cahill - who has been limited to just seven games this campaign under the Italian - hasn't played for the West London side since the 4-0 win against PAOK on November 29.
The 33-year-old has won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, one League Cup as well as the Europa League and Champions League since joining from Bolton in January 2012.
But Sarri deemed him as not good enough after he replaced Antonio Conte, and has preferred a partnership of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger instead.
Speaking to the , Cahill said: "It's been really terrible for me personally. It will just be erased out of my head when I leave Chelsea. My last memory will be last season's FA Cup final.
"It's been very difficult. I have played on a regular basis over the previous six seasons and I've won everything with Chelsea, so to be watching from the stands is something I didn't expect.
"I know how the whole club works, I've got a big relationship with all the players and staff, and yet none of that has been utilised.
"If you are not playing, any player, for two, three, four games, then you don't have to give a reason for that.
"But if it gets to eight or nine games, then you have to explain the situation. What's going on? But the manager hasn't done that.
