Blackburn chasing former England No1 Joe Hart from rivals Burnley
Hart desperate to quit Turf Moor this summer having lost his place to Tom Heaton and neighbours Blackburn are keen on his capture
BLACKBURN are in the queue to grab keeper Joe Hart from rivals Burnley.
Rovers boss Tony Mowbray wants a new No 1 and is interested in the former England star.
Hart, 32, has endured another miserable campaign having moved to Turf Moor in the summer following a dismal loan season at West Ham.
The former Manchester City star started the season as first choice with the Clarets but was axed as the side struggled near the foot of the table in favour of Tom Heaton.
Since then he has been unable to regain his place in Sean Dyche’s side, and is now looking to get out in the summer – but does not want to take a drop in wages.
So to get a deal done, Rovers would have to opt for a loan and hope Burnley give them favourable terms which would see them contributing some of his salary.
The Clarets would prefer him to go on a permanent basis — meaning Blackburn will face a long wait to get their man.
Mowbray is also considering Scott Carson, who may leave Derby after losing his place in the side.
