PSG took the lead in the 13th minute through a Dani Alves strike.

And the game looked finished when Neymar doubled their advantage eight minutes later.

However, Rennes were given a way back in thanks to a disastrous own goal from Presnel Kimpembe five minutes before half-time.

The plucky side then drew level in the second half thanks to a strike from Edson Andre Sitoe.

PSG failed to find a breakthrough during normal time and couldn’t believe it as Rennes held on for another 30 minutes in extra-time.

Things got worse when Kylian Mbappe was sent off in the 118th minute.

And the games then went to dreaded penalties.

Christopher Nkunku skied his final penalty high and wide, leaving Rennes to celebrate a famous victory.
