NEIL WARNOCK joked he banned Harry Arter from training — because he is Fulham boss Scott Parker’s brother-in-law!

Arter’s sister, Carly, is married to Parker, who will today bid to push Cardiff one step closer to relegation.

Bluebirds boss Warnock said: “We banned him from watching us train this week just in case he’s after going to Fulham next year!”

Arter, 29, is racing to return after missing the last two games with a calf injury.

Cardiff sit in 18th, three points adrift of safety.

And Warnock claims the shackles are now off in the club’s battle to stay up.

He added: “I know it sounds silly because you’d think there would be more pressure on us.

“We played like that at Brighton and I can’t ask any more of the players.

"I’ll be happy if they just play like they have been over the last couple of weeks.

“We’ve never, ever thrown in the towel and it’s an opportunity for the lads to write their names in history.”

Fulham's fate for next season has already been decided, but they will be hunting for their third league win on the bounce.
