Celtic wonderkid Karamoko Dembele, 16, commits to England for next season and Scotland fans can’t believe it
The 16-year-old has played for both countries at youth level but recently captained the Three Lions, and has no intention of stopping that any time soon
KARAMOKO DEMBELE has confirmed he'll play for England's youth sides next season - which is a massive blow for Scotland.
The starlet, 16, has been at the centre of an international tug-of-war between the two countries.
And he is eligible to play for both, having been born in London but growing up north of the border.
Dembele has already played at several youth levels for both and England, even captaining the Three Lions' Under-16s.
But in what could be a blow to the Tartan Army's hopes of seeing him at a senior level in a Scotland jersey, he revealed he'll continue to play for the Auld Enemy.
Posting a picture leading out the England team on Instagram, he said: "Looking forward to next season with the boys. ENG16."
Many Scotland fans voiced their disapproval and pleaded with him to stay in the Scotland set-up.
Euan said: "Get that kit off and get the Scotland kit on."
While Jacob Blyth replied: "Wish you played for Scotland but good luck pal."
