TAMMY ABRAHAM has suffered a shoulder injury - after scoring his 25th league goal of the season for Aston Villa.
Chelsea’s on-loan striker came off after 60 minutes against Bolton - three minutes after becoming the first player since Andy Gray in 1977 to score 25 league goals in a season for the Villains.
Villa boss Dean Smith said: "Tammy got a whack on the shoulder. It’s too early to diagnose but I don’t expect he will be fit for Monday. I hope it’s not bad.
“He put his head in where somebody with 25 goals puts their head in.
"He was down for a while. The doctor said he had to come off because he was in too much pain.”
Abraham is due back at parent club Chelsea for pre-season.
Gonzaolo Higuain has failed to hit any form in London - with a move back to Serie A looking likely for the 31-year-old.
Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is also not confident in Frenchman Olivier Giroud providing Chelsea’s main striking option.
It has led to Stamford Bridge chiefs considering a return for Abraham - who has netted 24 goals in 39 appearances this season.
Abraham himself believes his goal-scoring form will be enough to earn himself a run in the Chelsea squad next season.
