Sarri undergoes ‘minor medical procedure’ after dental problem but will be in dug-out for Chelsea vs Slavia Prague
MAURIZIO SARRI may have bitten off more than he can chew these last few weeks.
The Chelsea boss was missing from last night's Europa League press conference with a dental problem.
Sarri required a “minor medical procedure” and was not able to talk very well to attend.
But club officials confirmed he will be in the Stamford Bridge dug-out tonight as planned and be able to take part in pre-match and post-match interviews.
In his place last night, assistant Gianfranco Zola said: “We know from the first leg that this is a top opposition and we will not be taking them lightly.
“We will make a few forced changes but we will be putting out a strong team to ensure we progress.”
Meanwhile striker Olivier Giroud admitted his Stamford Bridge future remains unclear - having started just 17 games this season.

The Frenchman said: "I’m happy to be here – I may be 32 and have won the World Cup but I don’t want to retire – but I’m not satisfied with second choice. I’m not happy to play the second role.
“When you are a competitor, when you’ve been through difficulties all through your career, you need to keep that frustration inside you and transform it into positive energy on the pitch.
"I’m not happy to play the second role. That’s why I said, next year, I will need to have a more important role to play in the team.”
