Man Utd transfer blow with Juventus ‘meeting Benfica ace Felix TODAY over £105m summer switch to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo’

Having lit up the footballing world, Joao Felix could be set for a mega bucks move to Serie A

JUVENTUS sporting director Fabio Paratici will meet agent Jorge Mendes on Tuesday to discuss a potential £105 million deal for Joao Felix.

Reports out of Spain detail the young midfielder's desire to play with Bianconeri star Cristiano Ronaldo, casting doubt over Manchester United's hopes of signing him.

Felix is said to have a £105 million release clause embedded in his Benfica contract that the Lisbon side won't budge from - and claim Juve are willing to meet it.

The Portuguese club are reportedly desperate to increase that figure to £200 million but Felix's agent, Mendes, has put a stop to contract extension negotiations.

With Paulo Dybala one name linked with a summer exit, Juventus told Benfica president Luis Felipe Vieira in February that they will be able to pay the midfielder's buyout.

Not only do the Italians have the cash, they also have Ronaldo.

Felix is reported to be a huge fan of his countryman and the prospect of playing alongside him could seal the deal.

Also Ronaldo's representative, Mendes has a strong relationship with Juve and helped bring another Portugal international, Joao Cancelo, to Turin last year.

These talks progressing would be a hammer blow to the array of European giants chasing 19-year-old Felix.

Real Madrid and Manchester City were battling United for the attacking midfielder's signature following his incredible rise at Benfica, where he only made his senior debut in August.

The Viseu-born star boasts four goals and three assists in his last two outings, including a Europa League dismantling of Eintracht Frankfurt.
