Burnley and Cardiff fans come to blows in shocking fight outside ground as fan lays KO’d on floor and woman on crutches flees in fear
Clarets confirmed they are working with police as part of an investigation - and are also looking into sick social media posts taunting tragic Emiliano Sala
THIS is the shocking moment a fan is knocked out cold after a mass brawl erupts outside Turf Moor.
Burnley’s 2-0 win over Cardiff descended into chaos as supporters came to blows on Saturday.
Footage shows a group of thugs throwing punches at one other in the street while football fans desperately try to avoid the melee.
One woman hobbles away on crutches just seconds before a man – believed to be a Burnley fan – is sent crashing to the floor by two yobs.
Only then do stewards, who were outnumbered and had been trying to keep fans away from the bust-up, try and intervene.
Disgusting posts have also emerged on social media taunting the tragic death of Cardiff-bound Emiliano Sala.
Burnley confirmed they are working with Lancashire Police to help with an investigation.
A club statement read: “Burnley FC is aware of a post-match incident involving two sets of supporters outside Turf Moor after Saturday’s game with Cardiff City.
“In addition, a number of offensive posts have been reported to the club, and we are working with Lancashire Constabulary on both these issues.”
Cardiff fans sang “England f***ed it up” during the match, to which Burnley supporters replied “Cardiff’s going down”.
And it was heated on the pitch as Ashley Barnes infuriated Joe Bennett by KISSING him during an altercation.
Chris Wood scored both goals for the Clarets as they moved up to 14th, while the Bluebirds are five points behind Brighton in 18th and having played an extra game.
