AC Milan hope to tempt Pochettino to leave frugal Tottenham with £300m transfer budget
Milan supremo Ivan Gazidis wants the Spurs boss to lead the club's revival and will hope a huge war chest will tempt him to Serie A
AC MILAN are plotting an audacious move for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
And the Serie A giants are hoping a whopping £300million summer transfer budget will lure Pochettino to Italy.
Milan are desperate to challenge the domestic dominance of Juventus and according to the see the Argentine coach as the man to lead them back to the top.
Ironically, former Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis wants his old North London rival to quit the Premier League and join forces with him in Italy.
Time looks to be up for current boss Gennaro Gattuso with the Milan giants clinging desperatley to a top four slot and Champions League place next season.
And having fought off the reported advances of Manchester United and Real Madrid for his coach, Spurs supremo Daniel Levy will be ready to snub another possible approach for his man.
Levy will hope Pochettino has everything he needs at Spurs to take them to the next level now they are in their new £1billion stadium.
The ground will have to be paid for but Pochettino has warned Spurs the facilities off the pitch must be matched on it.
He told last month: “I think we are now in a different level with our facilities – with our training ground and our new stadium – and now we need to be at the same level on the pitch.
