Where Man Utd’s six unwanted stars could be next season with Arsenal and PSG transfers possible
Solskjaer is set to allow half a dozen first team stars to quit the summer, with Premier League teams on red alert
MANCHESTER UNITED are set to wave goodbye to six first-team stars this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues his Old Trafford revolution.
SunSport exclusively revealed Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo, Alexis Sanchez, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are the unlucky half dozen.
But where could they go next season - and could they end up coming back to bite United?
We take a look at which clubs have been interested in recent months...
ALEXIS SANCHEZ - PSG, China
FOR £505,000-a-week, the Chilean has been diabolical since he and Henrikh Mkhitaryan swapped clubs, scoring just one goal in 17 Prem games this season.
In fact, Sanchez has only scored THREE top-flight goals for United since leaving the Emirates well over a year ago.
Arsenal - the club where Sanchez, 30, arguably enjoyed his greatest form - have been linked with a move for him.
However, for now, the most likely home appears to be Paris Saint-Germain who are hoping to sign him as a replacement for Neymar or Kylian Mbappe - who have been tipped to move to Real Madrid.
The Ligue 1 giants are set to lose one - or both - of the star strikers to balance the books and avoid being in breach of FFP regulations.
Meanwhile, Chinese Super League teams are considering a mega-money swoop for Sanchez.
JUAN MATA - Arsenal, Barcelona
ARSENAL are reportedly targeting Mata in a bid to add some talent and experience to their midfield next season.
The Spaniard, 30, has been tracked by a host of clubs - but the biggest of those appears to be Barcelona.
Mata is said to have met with the La Liga giants ahead of a potential summer move - having started just 13 Prem games this season.
Man Utd want Mata to return one day in an ambassadorial role, but are all but resigned to losing him as a player this summer, when his contract expires.
ANDER HERRERA - PSG, Arsenal
RUMOURS earlier this week claimed Herrera - also out of contract this summer - had agreed to join PSG on a free this summer.
The French giants need a central midfielder to replace the outgoing Adrien Rabiot - and are turning to Herrera who has been a key cog in the United machine this season, making 15 league starts.
The Spanish star, 29, earned the club's Player of the Year award in 2016-17, but has failed to put pen to paper on an improved deal.
However, they face competition from Arsenal, who are long-term admirers of Herrera.
ANTONIO VALENCIA - Arsenal, West Ham
THE Gunners are also being tipped to swoop for experienced winger-turned-full-back Valencia this summer.
Valencia's father - who is also his agent - has revealed Arsenal are in play, with United opting against renewing the player's contract at Old Trafford.
Elsewhere, West Ham have also been linked with the 33-year-old former Wigan flyer - as they aim to replace the struggling Pablo Zabaleta.
MARCOS ROJO - Everton, Wolves
THE odds were slashed on Rojo joining Everton in January - and they could be in for the versatile defender again this summer.
The Argentine, 29, has struggled to nail down a spot in the United XI, with a host of injuries over the last few years not helping.
High-flying Wolves are also hoping to strengthen their squad with a move for Rojo.

MATTEO DARMIAN - Inter Milan, Juventus
THE Italian has struggled to get a game at United this season, under both Jose Mourinho and Solskjaer.
Now, Darmian, 29, is in the middle of a tug-of-war between Serie A giants Inter and Juve - despite making only four league starts this season.
With Diogo Dalot starting to force his way into contention, Darmian's time at Old Trafford appears to be over.
