Man Utd and Chelsea blow as Real Madrid strike verbal agreement with Adrien Rabiot
PSG contract rebel set to link up with fellow Frenchman Zinedine Zidane this summer
REAL MADRID have reportedly struck a verbal agreement with Manchester United and Chelsea target Adrien Rabiot.
claims Zinedine Zidane will land the Paris Saint-Germain superstar, 24, on a free transfer this summer after also seeing off competition from Barcelona.
Rabiot is out of contract at the end of the season and made it clear he had no intention of staying in the French capital.
Barcelona were believed to be favourites for his signature at one point.
But Real barged their way to the front of the queue following Zidane’s return last month.
However, Rabiot’s Bernabeu agreement means Manchester United have been left empty-handed.
The Red Devils were linked with a swoop after PSG reportedly struck terms with Ander Herrera on a £200,000-a-week deal.

Chelsea have also been left in Real’s wake, although they would not be able to sign Rabiot unless their upcoming transfer ban is lifted.
It now remains to be seen if Rabiot’s Madrid arrival sees any midfield exits.
Toni Kroos has been linked with a move away, while Luka Modric remains a target for Inter Milan.
