Man Utd set to launch £35m bid for Crystal Palace ace Wan-Bissaka
Right-back has been identified as perfect successor to Antonio Valencia
MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly set to launch a £35million bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will sanction the move as he prepares to let Antonio Valencia leave on a free transfer this summer.
Veteran defender Ashley Young has been handed a new one-year deal.
But with Matteo Darmian also expected to depart, the Red Devils need to strengthen at right-back.
And Crystal Palace star Wan-Bissaka has emerged as Solskjaer’s prime target at the end of the season - along with other England starlets Declan Rice and Jadon Sancho.
The 21-year-old is one of the top-rated youngsters in the Premier League.
And United feel he can help take them to the next level, with compatriot Luke Shaw lining up on the opposite flank.
However, fierce rivals Manchester City are also interested in Wan-Bissaka.
And that is set to drive the price up, with Palace ready to auction him off to the highest bidder.
SunSport also understands United are lining up a move for Eagles ace Wilfried Zaha.
The Ivory Coast international flopped during his time at Old Trafford under David Moyes.
But he has since gone on to become one of English football’s best wingers in his second spell at Selhurst Park.
And Solskjaer believes Zaha can provide the missing link needed on United’s right wing.
