JASON of Beverly Hills is the go-to jeweller for the world's biggest sports stars and celebrities.

Most recently, the Los Angeles-based company hit the headlines for making France's World Cup winning rings for Paul Pogba.

But in truth, they've been working with the world's greatest footballers since they opened their doors in 2002.

Ashley Cole, Didier Drogba, John Terry, Daniel Sturridge and Antoine Griezmann are just a handful of other clients that commissioned bespoke pieces from the jeweller's founder, Jason Arasheben.

In fact, generous Chelsea legend Drogba created the trend that Pogba followed, ordering his own Superbowl-style rings for his teammates back in 2012.

'This would be great, we just won the World Cup, we're celebrating in LA, we should design something like that.'

Paul Pogba, speaking to jeweller Jason Arasheben

The towering Ivorian centre forward reportedly spent £800,000 on the set that commemorated the Blues' Champions League win.

"I've made jewellery for a lot of British-based footballers, even though I'm based in the States," Arasheben, 40, told SunSport exclusively.

"A lot of players come to Los Angeles, especially in the summer time."

In the past year, Jason has forged a close relationship with Manchester United star Pogba and his international teammate Antoine Griezmann, who love holidaying in LA.

The rings were born out of an idea Pogba thought up that tips a hat to the NFL and NBA.

He said: "When Paul came to town, he saw the championship rings we made for the Golden State Warriors and said, 'This would be great, we just won the World Cup, we're celebrating in LA, we should design something like that.'

"I immediately put some ideas together and sent it over to him, and they made their way to a mass group text with all the players on the team.

"They all got super-excited and decided to pull the trigger."

But Pogba and Co. had a few requests.

Arasheben revealed: "Paul said, 'Listen, we're not as big physically as the NBA players, so it's important the rings aren't the size of the ones we have in America.

"He wanted it to be more wearable, and more proportionate to their physical stature.

"Another thing that was important was he wanted to have some colour and the rings had to be identifiable to the country of France.

"That's why we put the flag prominently on the front."

The ring, which is made of white gold and features several rubies, diamonds and sapphires, took two months to make.

"With the piece, we're trying to tell the story of that particular World Cup, showing the year, a picture of the trophy," Arasheben said.

"We wanted to symbolise the entire tournament and the accomplishment they achieved.

"Each ring came in a custom-made box with a plaque that had each and every player's names on it, as well as a rotating platform with some small spotlights that shot down onto the ring to give at a dazzling effect."

Griezmann's love for Fortnite

Pogba's Les Bleus teammate Griezmann is another footballer who loves to accessorize.

He had a special commission for James of Beverly Hills.

"Antoine reached out to me and said he wanted us to design the 'Take the L' Fortnite dance," Arasheben revealed.

"He said it was something he did with his goal celebration and he wanted to commemorate that with a piece.

"It was made of black gold, black diamonds, had ruby eyes and there are some emeralds in there too.

"Those are the fun pieces that not everyone can pull off. But when you're a top footballer, and you want to have something fun, that's something they can afford."

And it's not just footballers who enlist the services of Jason of Beverly Hills.

"We're known for selling and creating bespoke jewellery pieces for celebrities and athletes in the States.

"We have over 200 NBA players that we call clients. We make stuff for the biggest names in basketball, including LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Durant and Steph Curry.

"But sports stars aren't as flashy as musicians. They are trying to be a little more understated, but still flashier than the average person.

"They like to wear pieces that are stackable, incorporate more colour and like to take chances with their jewellery."

Drake and Michael Jackson

One of the most elaborate pieces Arasheben has ever created was for Canadian singer Drake.

The hip-hop star got himself an owl necklace pendant, which was made from a kilo of gold and featured over 100 carats of diamonds.

"Drake hasn't been a client for that long, maybe two years, but in that time he's kept me very busy!" Arasheben laughed.

"He's done some fun projects, like the owl, and he likes to get creative and think outside of the box."

And Jason of Beverly Hills also got to work with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

"We did a family crest when the late Michael Jackson was alive," Arasheben revealed.

"I went to Neverland, he gave me a tour of his ranch and he had a family crest he wanted to recreate.

"We made about 10 of them. He wore one, and the rest he used as emblems on the front doors of the bedrooms on his home.

"He just nailed them to the front door, which was interesting!"

How much does it all cost?

Of course, Arasheben's jewellery doesn't come cheap.

The Angelino wouldn't disclose how much clients part with for their one off pieces, but he did give us a rough estimate.

"Some guys will spend as little as £5,000, while others might spend as much as £500,000. We've sold wedding rings for up to £6 million.

"It's completely dependent on the person on what they spend.

"I'm just happy and grateful that they choose us."
