Kenneth Omeruo desperate to finally seal permanent transfer away from Chelsea after Leganes loan

CHELSEA defender Kenneth Omeruo has pleaded with the Blues to unshackle him from their loan system.

But Omeruo has now settled at La Liga side Leganes and wants the Prem giants to allow him to reign in Spain.

He told the : "The opportunity to play against the best players in the world is massive for my career.

"There is an option for Leganes to sign me on a permanent basis and hopefully that will happen.

"The Chelsea management have never stopped me from making important career decisions and they've been very supportive.

"It will be a decision between both clubs, but personally I hope I'll be a Leganes player for next season and beyond.

'CAREER GROWTH'

"I deserve stability in my career as a footballer. Leganes and Spanish football provides me with the continuity and right environment for career growth."

Omeruo, who has made 24 appearance's for Leganes, joined Chelsea in 2012 aged 18 from Belgian side Standard Liege.

He is one of 41 players that the Premier League club has on loan.

Omeruo has admirers across La Liga as well as in Germany's Bundesliga, with a Chelsea exit likely this summer.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner has not made a single appearance for the Blues first-team over the past seven years.

Omeruo's current deal at Stamford Bridge expires in 2020 and he is due to return to West London in July.
