Chelsea fans to boycott home games in protest over ‘s***’ Sarri not being sacked
Hundreds of season ticket holders trying to offload their seats on re-selling sites as Blues supporters start to vote with their feet increasing pressure on the manager
CHELSEA fans are increasing the pressure on Maurizio Sarri by boycotting the club's home matches, it has been claimed.
The report that hundreds of Blues season ticket holders are trying to off-load their seats for upcoming games at Stamford Bridge as they begin to vote with their feet.
There were empty seats in the ground for the last home match against Wolves, and the article claims it is likely to be a recurring theme at matches next month.
And that is likely to heap more pressure on the under-fire manager with the Chelsea board taking a keen interest in the mood among the fanbase.
The Blues are still in with a chance of securing a top four finish in the Premier League and the Champions League qualification they so desperately need.
And the London club are also in the quarter-finals of the Europa League where they will come up against Slavia Prague - having been handed an inviting path through to the final.
Yet Sarri remains a manager whose job is coming under increasing scrutiny as his side stutters along in the league and struggles to connect with the supporters.
GENERAL SALE
That is becoming evident as season ticket holders advertise their seats on re-selling platforms for the three home Premier League games next month.
Home matches against London rivals West Ham are usually the biggest draw outside fixtures against the big title rivals in the league.
But over 400 were listing their seats for sale on the club's official exchange service for the April 8 game, which is being played on a Monday night.
And almost 700 have been made available for the visit of Burnley on April 22, while the article claims their are scores of others who will not go but are not listing their seats for sale.
The Brighton and Burnley games have now even gone on general sale, such is the lack of interest from members in watching the side in action.
The prospect of empty seats comes weeks after the club's supporters turned on Sarri during the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.
