Pogba shows off diamond-encrusted World Cup winners rings he bought France squad after Russia 2018 win

PAUL POGBA has shown off the giant, diamond-encrusted rings he bought his France pals for winning the World Cup last summer.

The Manchester United star, 26, commissioned — and paid for — the jewellery off his own back to commemorate the famous, unlikely victory in Russia.

The incredible rings were presented to the France squad by Pogba

Pogba reportedly refused to allow team-mate Antoine Griezmann or the French Football Federation chip in, in a truly generous gesture.

While many would be happy with a winners medal and a grab of the trophy, the ever-eccentric Pogba was insistent on a ring.

American sports league winners such as the NBA are famous for celebrating a title with a ring.

Last autumn, basketball champions the Golden State Warriors showed off their reversible diamond and sapphire rings to celebrate yet another championship.

A (SECOND) STAR IS BORN

And Pogba has clearly taken a leaf out of their book, with the oversized, glitzy chunks of jewellery - shared on Instagram by team-mate Blaise Matuidi.

A 360-degree video of the rings was shared on Twitter - with the famous national emblem topped with a second star, after their 2018 victory joined the 1998 triumph on home soil in the history

The entire France squad returned to training earlier this week as they reported for international duty at their Clairefontaine base.

Pogba for one looked in good spirits as he arrived ahead of Euro 2020 qualifiers against Moldova and Iceland.

But all eyes were fixed on N'Golo Kante - as he turned up to the training base FIVE hours early.

Another star keen to make a good impression was Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman - as he arrived two hours prior to the 1pm meet-up.

The former Juventus forward had been frozen out of the France set-up under Deschamps, having last been selected in November 2017.

The rings feature the France Football Federation logo and the country's famous 'tricolour' flag
