Loris Karius ‘wants to end two-year Besiktas loan spell and return to Liverpool’ after another disastrous spell for calamity keeper
Karius is said to be looking to cut short spell in Turkey to return to Anfield in dispute over wages and unhappy at being publicly criticised by manager Senol Gones
LORIS KARIUS has asked to cut short his loan deal with Besiktas and return to Liverpool, it has been claimed.
Karius is in the middle of a two-year spell at the Turkish club having been frozen out at Anfield by boss Jurgen Klopp.
The move to Besiktas was supposed to give the German keeper the chance to get his career going again after a series of high-profile errors playing for Liverpool.
But instead it has turned into a difficult experience amid suggestions he is chasing money owed to him by the club.
And Karius is said to be further upset at the way he was singled out for criticism in the papers by manager Senol Gones following a match last month.
Turkish publication claim the 25-year-old held a meeting with Besiktas officials where he made his feelings known.
And it is reported that in those talks Karius informed them he wanted to end his agreement with the club and return to Anfield.
With just two months of the season remaining it is unlikely he will be able to force his way back to Merseyside in the short term.
BUNDESLIGA HOPES
But he is hoping to see Besiktas and Liverpool reach an agreement which would see him end his spell in Turkey over the summer.
Besiktas are believed to have already started looking for a replacement keeper, with Fulham stopper Fabri suggested as an option.
And that would leave Karius having to search for another new club, with his chances of figuring at Liverpool again highly unlikely.
