Outcast Abraham confident he can be Chelsea’s star striker next season after setting Championship on fire at Aston Villa

Youngster has been lighting up the Championship with Aston Villa and feels he's ready to make the jump up

TAMMY ABRAHAM has told Maurizio Sarri he wants to lead the line for Chelsea next season.

The Blues youngster, 21, has been lighting up the Championship on loan at Aston Villa.

And after scoring 21 times in 31 matches for the Villans, he is setting his sights on the Premier League.

He: "That's the aim going into next season.

"As a young kid, I've always believed I will play for Chelsea. I always believe that.

"I think I have the ability to. I just have to, when I get the opportunity, grab it with two hands."

Abraham has been with Chelsea for 15 years but has played just three times for his boyhood club.

And after growing up with Callum Hudson-Odoi, he is delighted to see his pal make the England squad.

He added: "Watching him grow up to where he is now, he's done very well.

"He's more than deserved this call up, I'm very happy for him.

"Ever since a young age, he's been unbelievable.

"Now he's actually doing it in men's football for the world to see.

"It's heart-warming. I just hope he continues that and carries on building."
