PHILIPPE COUTINHO has revealed his future is uncertain after struggling to find form with Barcelona.

The former Liverpool ace has failed to win over supporters since his £142million switch to the Nou Camp last January.

Coutinho, 26, did score in the 5-1 win over Lyon on Wednesday night but Barca are believed to be ready to cut their losses.

He has been linked with a return back to the Premier League with Manchester United.

Interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to open the cheque book this summer once he gets handed the job on a permanent basis.

And he will be more than encouraged with Coutinho's latest comments on his future.

Speaking to after his side progressed to the last eight of the Champions League, he said: "In the last few weeks, months even, I've not been playing well. But I still want to improve.

"I came to Barcelona to give my best. I live for the moment. You never know what the future holds. I am happy with my performance today."

Barca fans have been far from welcoming to Coutinho and even booed him in the 3-1 win over Ray Vallecano earlier this month.

But team-mate Gerard Pique believes he just needs to accept the criticism.

The Spaniard said: "Philippe is having a good season. Obviously, he cost a lot and that means there are higher expectations surrounding his performances. It is what it is.

"You have to accept the reaction of the fans because at the end of the day they're our supporters, you have to respect [their opinion].

"We — his teammates and people at the club — have to give him all the support in the world.

"We need him at his best in the final stage of the season and I'm sure he will be."
