Arsenal and Chelsea target Rabiot ‘wants Premier League transfer from PSG’ after Barcelona pull out of summer race

ARSENAL and Chelsea have been given a boost with Adrien Rabiot reportedly determined to join a Premier League club this summer.

Paris United claims the PSG midfielder is set for a return to England after a brief spell at Manchester City in 2008.

Rabiot has announced he will leave the French giants on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer after failing to agree a new deal.

And it appears he has his heart set on playing in the Premier League, despite previously being tipped for a move to Barcelona, with the Catalans said to have now pulled out of the race after signing Frenkie de Jong from Ajax.

Arsenal are understood to be keen on a move for Rabiot after losing Aaron Ramsey to Juventus.

While Chelsea could pounce as they look for a goalscoring threat from midfield.

But one team who won’t be signing Rabiot are Spurs, who reportedly tried and failed to land him for £20million in January.

PSG have already signed a replacement in Argentine playmaker Leandro Paredes.

But with Lassana Diarra also having his contract terminated, there is room for another midfielder at the Parc des Princes.

And Thomas Tuchel could return for Everton's Idrissa Gueye, who was denied a deadline day move to the French capital earlier this year.
