NEIL WARNOCK has complained to the Premier League over referees for the SECOND time this season.
SunSport understands the furious Cardiff boss made his feelings known to PGMOL refs chief Mike Riley following last Friday’s 5-1 home defeat to Watford.
Trailing 1-0 just before half-time, Warnock was fuming when ref Simon Hooper did not award a penalty after Hornets defender Daryl Janmaat brought down Josh Murphy inside the box.
Cardiff collapsed to defeat by conceding four goals after the break and the 70-year-old took action to register his unhappiness by calling Riley.
After the game the Bluebirds boss claimed the denial of the spot-kick affected his players and helped contribute to their second half collapse.
He said: “There’s no excuse for getting battered five. They’re a good side but you can have confidence when you’re two or three up, knock it around.
“Going in 1-1 with our tails up and the crowd behind us it’s a different ball game.”
Hooper was due to return to Wales and be the fourth official at Cardiff’s 3-0 home defeat to Everton on Tuesday, which leaves them just one point and a place above the relegation zone.
But the Wiltshire official was replaced by Andre Marriner and switched to Leicester’s game against Brighton following his major blunder.
After the game, Hooper watched the video of the incident back and admitted to Warnock it was a stonewall penalty.
Warnock has previous for contacting Riley over the inconsistency of refs this season.
The Cardiff boss was angry after Joe Ralls was sent off for a reckless tackle against Tottenham in October.
Back then, Warnock sent a video to Riley which included challenges from Vincent Kompany, Leroy Sane and Robert Snodgrass which he deemed were worse.
