Jordan Dawes dead at 18: Ex-Charlton goalkeeper passes away from liver cancer

FORMER Charlton keeper Jordan Dawes has died from liver cancer aged just 18.
The teenager was only diagnosed with the disease in November after suffering a stroke.
Both Charlton and Dawes' "heartbroken" family have posted statements revealing the tragic news.
Her family said: "Today our beautiful total amazeballs daughter Jordan Dawes went to sleep for the last time.
"We are heartbroken beyond heartbroken and I don't know how we are ever going to continue without our beautiful girl.
"She had so much life to live. Never stop loving and hugging your beautiful children as it's a cruel world out there."
Meanwhile, Charlton tweeted: "Everyone at Charlton Athletic Women is saddened to hear the news that former player Jordan Dawes has passed away today.
"Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time."
Last November, David De Gea donated the gloves he wore in his 250th Premier League game to Dawes as she recovered from her stroke in hospital.
At the time, Dawes was playing for fifth-tier side Kent Football United after spending her youth career at the Addicks.
De Gea tweeted Dawes' coach Ciara Watling, saying: "Hi Ciara, I'd like to send my gloves of the 250 match to Jordan, hopefully she will cheer up a bit!"
Dawes replied: "Thank you so much, you’re my literal inspiration."
Fran Kirby and Casey Stoney were two others to send support on social media, while crowdfunding helped raise £8,500 for treatment.
