CHELSEA are ready to fork out up to £40million to lure Bundesliga top goalscorer Luka Jovic to Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old - on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt from Benfica - is also being chased by the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Jovic - who has banged in 19 goals in 27 games in all competitions this season - has fired Frankfurt up to fifth in the table.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is understood to have targeted the Serbian international as a summer replacement for Olivier Giroud, 32.
And German news outlet claim that Blues officials have approached Jovic's Portuguese parent club with an offer of around £40m.
Speaking recently, Jovic said: "I feel honoured that big clubs are showing interest in me.
"But at the moment I am happy to be with Frankfurt, and I feel good with them.
"For the time being I will just focus on Eintracht. They are my top priority."
The German side have the option to sign the Serb on a permanent deal.
Jovic joined Benfica from home-country club Red Star Belgrade in 2016, and has two years left on his contract.
