Eden Hazard’s dream Real Madrid transfer in peril as Spanish giants make Neymar top target ahead of Chelsea ace
Blues' £100million-rated star has hinted he could quit after this season and always claimed he hopes to one day sign for Real
EDEN HAZARD could see his Real Madrid dream ruined by Neymar.
Chelsea’s £100million-rated star has hinted he could quit the club after this season and always claimed he hopes to one day sign for Real.
Yet the Spanish giants still want long-time target Neymar, who could cost over £200m to sign from Paris Saint-Germain.
Former Barcelona star Neymar is keen for a move back to La Liga.
So Hazard may once again have to play a waiting game in the summer as he is now expected to be second choice.
The Belgian playmaker, 28, plunged his Chelsea future into doubt on Tuesday when he admitted: “I know what I’m going to do. I have decided.”
That followed a French radio interview he gave in December where he revealed: “You know me, I have always loved Real Madrid.
“We’ll see what happens. I’m finishing this year with Chelsea.
“I still have a year of my contract. After this year, we’ll see.”
And earlier this season, Hazard stressed: “Real Madrid is the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie. It is my dream since I was a kid.”
However, the Blues will not let him go without a fight and have put the huge price tag on his head — even though his contract runs out in 2020.
Chelsea are also ready to offer Hazard more than £300,000 A WEEK in an attempt to keep him.
Despite interest last season, Real failed to follow up with a summer bid.
Hazard is enjoying a another good campaign with 12 Premier League goals and a top-flight-best ten assists.
Regardless of whether they lose Neymar, PSG look certain to make another attempt to land Brazil forward Willian from Stamford Bridge.
Willian, 30, was also looking at a switch to Real after the World Cup.
But, again, they did not make a serious move and instead signed his team-mate, keeper Thibaut Courtois.
