Replays show James Milner was offside as Liverpool take lead at West Ham

FANS could not believe Liverpool’s first goal was not flagged for offside as James Milner looked to be two yards off.

Liverpool took the lead on 22 minutes at the London Stadium after a brilliant move from Adam Lallana allowed Milner to cross it in to Sadio Mane.

Fans on Twitter could not believe officials did not spot Milner standing in the offside position

Mane would go onto turn and get his strike off as Liverpool took the lead.

The fine skill by Lallana to set up Milner’s cross – or Mane’s great turn and finish was not the talking point of the goal.

Fans on Twitter were left questioning how the linesman and referee failed to spot Milner standing two yards offside before he whipped the ball into Mane.
