Chelsea manager Sarri incredibly blames other Blues’ players for Jorginho’s struggles this season

MAURIZIO SARRI has incredibly blamed other players for Jorginho's poor start to his Chelsea career.

The Italy international joined in the summer from Napoli for £57million - but has hardly set the Premier League alight.

His selection in the starting XI has also meant fans' favourite N'Golo Kante has been shifted away from his favoured anchoring role.

And that has mystified fans and football pundits alike, with Kante one of the best in the world in that position.

But in the 5-0 thrashing of Huddersfield, the 27-year-old had arguably his best game in a Chelsea shirt.

And speaking after the game, his manager Sarri believes it is the "movement" of his team-mates that has led to Jorginho's struggles.

He said: "Jorginho played very well.

“Jorginho needs movement without the ball from the other players because he is used to play one touch and it’s very difficult to play one touch without the movement of the other players.

"So the team in the first 25-30 minutes played very well, we have movements without the ball and for Jorginho it’s easier I think.

"We played our football because we moved the ball fast, very well.

"We didn’t play our backs to the opposing goal like in the last match but we attacked the spaces, so we played our football.”

And the Blues "playing football" certainly worked in a thrashing of the Premier League's bottom club Huddersfield.

Higuain scored two classy goals while Hazard's trickery and a disputed penalty brought the little Belgian his own welcome double.

David Luiz then rounded off the scoring after heading home Willian's corner in the 86th minute.
