FULHAM and Cardiff are reportedly battling it out in attempt to nab Manchester United starlet Demetri Mitchell on loan.
The left-back is currently enjoying a second spell on loan at Scottish side Hearts, where he has made 20 appearances in all competitions.
Mitchell - who made his sole Red Devils appearance at the end of the 2016/17 campaign against Crystal Palace - is understood to have monitored by the Cottagers and Bluebirds.
According to , the two clubs made contact with United last night as they attempt to thrash out a deal before the transfer window shuts.
And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side would be willing to cut short Mitchell's spell at Hearts in order for him to secure regular action in the top-flight.
But they would only recall the England youth international should a suitable offer come in for the 22-year-old.
